Lam Bui

I’m Lam, a native Vietnamese tutor from Vietnam with over 5 years of experience teaching Vietnamese to foreign learners of different ages and backgrounds. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, as well as a certificate in “Teaching Vietnamese to Foreigners.”

I specialize in a Northern Vietnamese (Hanoi) accent. My lessons are structured, interactive, patient, and tailored to each student’s level and goals.

For beginners, I focus on pronunciation, the six Vietnamese tones, and reading first. With my structured approach, students can build a strong pronunciation foundation and start reading Vietnamese words in around 4–5 lessons, depending on their practice and progress.

For intermediate and advanced learners, I focus on natural conversation, vocabulary, grammar, and real-life communication. I can also use English when needed to explain difficult grammar or vocabulary clearly.

I also include everyday Vietnamese expressions and cultural insights to help students understand how Vietnamese is naturally used in daily life.
